Hair transplantation is in fact transplanting (grafting) hair resistant to the baldness gene from back of the head to the bald area in front of the head. The transplanted follicles will stay on the head for the rest of the patient’s life, because the follicles, transplanted from the back of the head to the bald area, are resistant to the baldness gene genetically.
